Eddie’s hungry. His large brown eyes fix on his target and in one graceful neck bend, dirt scatters, his mouth fills with orchids and fragments of blue and white china smash onto the stone floor. Laughter breaks the stunned silence. What do you say to the tallest animal in the world with a pink flower hanging out of his mouth? “He’s telling us it’s time for breakfast,” says Nicholas one of Eddie’s enthusiastic handlers.
